Founded in 1991 on the premise of being reminiscent of a Sunday night visit to grandmother’s house, or as they say in Italy, nonna’s casa, we’ve grown to 51 locations in 22 states and the District of Columbia. Today, we’re known for our memorable chef-inspired, made-from-scratch dishes; as the go-to place for special occasions as well as a daily trip back to Italy; and making our Guests and Teammates feel special.
Many of Maggiano’s chefs are culinary-trained graduates of esteemed schools like the Culinary Institute of America and Le Cordon Bleu. Their immense training allows them to make items from scratch in the restaurant and gives Guests an opportunity to customize every dish for potential allergies, dietary requirements and special requests. Maggiano’s chefs will make table visits to discuss dietary and allergy requirements to put our Guests’ minds at ease.
Every day, our made-from-scratch kitchen replicates recipes that have been in Italian families for generations as well as new twists with seasonal ingredients. As a way to showcase the talent and creativity of our more than 50 executive chefs, every 30 days, Maggiano’s offers Guests a feature menu of new dishes.
We pride ourselves on the unique and distinguishable architectural layout and style of every Maggiano’s. The architecture of the buildings is designed to complement the surrounding community, so no two restaurant look the same. We’re honored to host hundreds of special occasions each year for our Guests in our banquet rooms. Furthermore, we appreciate our Guests who have become like family, visiting us weekly, to enjoy their favorite menu item or a Classic Pasta ensuring they have another one to take home complements of the chef, until the next week, of course.
Teammates have helped shape the restaurant and who Maggiano’s is today through the personality and décor of each location. Many of the key menu items are family recipes from our renowned chefs. Photos around the restaurant are actually of the opening team’s family members, and some banquet rooms are named after the hard-working members of the opening restaurant team.
