Cece Smith is the retired Managing General Partner of Phillips-Smith-Machens Venture Partners, a venture capital firm which invested in retail and consumer businesses that she co-founded in 1986. Previously, Ms. Smith held senior management positions with Pearle Health Services and S&A Restaurant Corp. Ms. Smith currently serves as a Director of Pier 1 Imports, Inc. and is on the Executive Boards of the Dallas Symphony Association and the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. Ms. Smith has served on the Board of Directors since January 2002 and is a member of the Audit and Governance and Nominating Committees of the Company.
